Summer Days

As students in the Philippines return to school after their summer break, American students look forward to June and the start of their summer vacation. In the U.S., summer is when we think of taking longer vacations, since children are out of school. In this issue, we provide some resources for those interested in traveling to the Philippines, whether it’s in these upcoming summer months or planning ahead for the popular travel season around the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Like remithome? Tell your friends about us!

Many of our best customers are those referred by people who know us best ... members like you! And did you know that you can earn rewards when friends you refer use RemitHome? For more information, refer to the “Ask RemitHome” section below or click on the pod to the right.

 Traveling to the Philippines

Since RemitHome members have strong ties to the Philippines, most of us will find ourselves making a journey to the Philippines. Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’re looking forward to going home after being away too long, it is useful to have up-to-date information to help you plan your trip.

The U.S. and Philippine governments both have official websites with lots of information. The Republic of the Philippines official web portal’s Travel and Tourism section can be a good place to start for general information.

The travel section of the U.S. Department of State website is an important source of travel information, especially for U.S. citizens. And the Travelers’ Health section of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website provides critical health information for people who are going abroad.

Here are some specific links from these websites that you may find useful:
